Tesmi: Fun in Silvermoon City

I went to Silvermoon City because Anara warned me not to! I wandered around the city for a bit, exploring. I found the hunter's training compound in Farstrider Square and couldn't resist being a little silly. The Blood Elves are entirely too serious!

The hunters have this huge bear statue and I couldn't resist taking bear form and emulating the stance of the ferocious statue! I thought it was funny, but I suppose I should be glad that no elf walked in while I was being silly. They would not have taken it well.

Impressions of Silvermoon City

On Hravan's emphatic urgings, I traveled to Silvermoon City today. In all the world I have never seen a more beautiful or darkly disturbing place such as that! The buildings were enormous and the plants floated! Magicked brooms swept the streets and there were benches everywhere for the weary traveler. I swear that magic crackled in the air! I could hardly feel the spirit of the Earthmother.

I explored a little before I found Farstrider Square, the one place Hravan strongly suggested I visit. When I entered the hunter's, or rangers as the Blood Elves call them, training building, I felt I had found a piece of Mulgore! There were huge sculptures of plainstriders and bears and the whole interior had a rugged feel to it. I had to sit a moment and absorb the spirit of the place.

Hravan warned me that there was a dark presence beneath the peace of the hunter's, pardon, ranger's compound. I felt it almost immediately, lurking behind the constructed nature. In feeling that, I realized that Silvermoon City was merely a glamour, a mask to hide the truth of the place. I followed the feeling next door to the paladin's building. As I ascended the stairs inside, I felt the air tremble with pain and sorrow. For the first time in my life, I was glad that the spirits of the Earthmother were so far removed from me, else I would have felt that darkness and pain more clearly.

I could not venture any further, so I turned and left. I could not even take refuge in the ranger's building - I had to hearth to Moonglade and sit in the forest for several hours. It was very difficult to rid myself of that place! I will never go back, not even if forced! I warned Tesmi and Taopi, though they are young enough not to listen. I suppose, as much as I would like to save everyone from feeling that darkness, that it must be experienced first-hand or it means nothing.

Meeting a Blood Elf

Crossroads has been under nearly constant attack by the Alliance of late. It is always a small group of seasoned veterans besieging the town; easy prey for a canny druid! I have been spending some time there lately, joining the defenders of the town in fighting the Alliance and occasionally helping a young ally with a quest.

This was how I met the Sin'dorei, the Blood Elf. Most of them avoid the other races of the Horde and refuse to talk to us, but this poor mage must have been suffering from the addiction. I found her in the midst of the centaur encampments near the Stagnant Oasis. She was weak and shivering despite the heat. I offered to help her back to Crossroads but she asked me to lure one of the Stormchasers to her. I welcome any excuse to kill centaurs, so I transformed into my cheetah form and darted across the plains in search of a strong Stormchaser. Finding one, I transformed into my natural shape and hit it with a weak moonfire spell, for I didn't want to kill it, just to attract its attention. The silly creature fell for my trap and followed me straight back to the weakened mage.

As soon as we were in range, the mage struggled to her feet and leaned heavily on her staff. I saw her lift a hand and then I heard a shriek of surprise from the centaur behind me. Glancing back, I saw that the centaur had abandoned its spell-casting, a sure sign that the mage had released her magic-stealing spell. Then the Sin'dorei told me to kill it and bring her another. If it were any other creature I would have declined, but I hate centaurs more than all others. Feeding the terrible addiction of the Sin'dorei was not a pleasant fate.

I lured three more Stormchasers to her before she was strong enough to stand without the help of her staff. "It is a rare Shu'halo that would stop to help a weakened Sin'dorei," she said to me. Though I towered over her, she still managed to look down her nose at me. I shrugged off her gratitude as a simple desire to kill centaurs and turned to leave, but she called out to me. Apparently, she was having difficultly murdering the infamous Verog the Dervish and requested my help. I gladly agreed.

As we stalked the centaur leader we chatted amicably. I didn't think it was possible for a Sin'dorei to be pleasant! Her name was Analorian Dawnfire and often went by Lora. She was born in Silvermoon in the days before the legendary Sunwell was destroyed and the Scourge destroyed half the world. When she spoke of it, she seemed to drift into the past and was hardly aware I was present. At one point, I remembered to gift her with the Mark of the Wild. As I blessed her, she whirled around and looked as though she would strike me down, but she regained control of herself. "I do not generally like druids," she warned me. "It is not a curse mage, but a blessing. It will make you stronger," I replied cautiously.

She studied me for many moments and I could see her weighing me behind her eyes. "How do you feel about the Kal'dorei druids?" she asked me abruptly. I was very surprised by the question. No one ever asks a tauren druid that! "We walk the Emerald Dream together, but they believe their powers come from the moon, what they call Elune. The Shu'halo know the true source of the druid's power though. The Earthmother alone lends us her strength," I said carefully, fully aware that my response would dictate our future relationship.

I need not have worried though. She relaxed at my words and promptly blessed me with arcane magic. "You are a good druid, Anara," she told me. I had obviously passed her test but I hardly trusted her. There was something hidden in her eyes.

We continued hunting for Verog and I made an off-hand comment about wishing Hravan was here to help us. My clanmate was a hunter, and a good one. She would have made searching for the elusive centaur much easier. At the mention of my sister, Analorian revealed that she too had a sister - Anarien Dawnfire, a priestess. "You must meet her someday, Anara. She would like you," she told me.

When we finally found the centaur leader, we made short work of killing him! Analorian was an exceptional fire mage, completely obsessed with perfection. I was glad I decided to stay back and call forth the roots to keep him from hitting Lora!

As I was escorting her back to Rethgar Deathgate's camp, I heard the Crossroads alarms start ringing again. I took off across the plains, certain that I had not heard nor seen the last of the Sin'dorei fire mage.

Meeting a Troll

I was running through Orgrimmar, the Valley of Spirits I believe, when I accidentally bowled over a little troll priestess. She was such a tiny little thing for a troll! Most of the Darkspears are around seven feet in height, but this one was just shy of six. She was so dainty and slender, too - hardly like any of her fellows.

She apologized profusely, though I was the one to run her over. It took a lot of work to calm her down and convince her that I meant no harm. Once she stopped scraping and apologizing she became a rather pleasant individual. I convinced her to fish in the Orgrimmar pond with me and we spent the better part of the afternoon getting acquainted.

Her name is Auo'kita Keiaz Ikenaki though she goes by Keiaz. She was born on the Echo Isles, east of Sen'jin village on the coast of Durotar. Her family fell to the dark magic of Zalazane when she was still fairly young. I asked her how she escaped that fate and she told me, in her thick accent, that it was by the grace of the Light that she was strong enough to resist Zalazane's influence. Prior to that moment, she had trained as a shadow priestess. When she was "saved" by the Light, she turned to it completely and became a Holy priestess. She speaks of the Light as we Shu'halo speak of our Earthmother! I have never seen such strong faith in one of the Darkspears before.

She is very timid and shy, though I sense the strength and blood-thirst of her heritage buried deep within her. I believe she will come to terms with her losses and learn to strengthen her spine in time. She was adventurous enough to offer her services to me as a healer, after all.

I am deeply intrigued by her. I hope I will discover more of her past in future conversations. Perhaps I should tell Tesmi to look her up, for they share a desire to heal and a gentle soul.

((OOC)) Welcome and Introduction

I've recently started trolling the RP forums of World of Warcraft and found it to be rather entertaining. Since I enjoy writing, I thought it would be fun to work on writing the stories of my favorite characters. I'm not sure how often I will update this, since RP is still fairly new to me.

The stars of this blog are all from Clan Wildmane. They are all tauren females and I occasionally refer to them as sisters, though they are not directly related in that sense. They all inhabit the Ysera Realm (except for Araven), for those of you who are interested in speaking to them face-to-face. I must warn you though, Ysera is an PVE realm so if you speak to me in-game, I will assume you're OOC unless you tell me!

I will post individual introductions for each of the characters I play, but here's a brief introduction to the Wildmanes and their friends:

Hravan Wildmane, tauren hunter
Tesmi Wildmane, tauren druid
Anara Wildmane, tauren druid
Taopi Wildmane, tauren shaman
Araven Stonehoof, tauren druid
Kaihe Stonehoof, tauren warrior

These are the primary posters in this blog, listed in order of creation (and consequently age). Tesmi and Taopi are true sisters. Incidentally, Anara is my main, followed by Hravan. I play Tesmi and Taopi about equally. Araven and Kaihe are on the Moon Guard RP server. I started her with the intention of joining a new guild, so we'll see where that goes.

Auo'Kita Keiaz Ikenaki, troll priestess
Analorian Dawnfire, blood elf mage
Anarien Dawnfire, blood elf priestess
Sagra, daughter of Raumo Felfire, orc warrior
Rusca, daughter of Denash of the Frostwolf Clan, orc hunter
Thani Electrowrench, gnome warrior

These are all my characters. Everyone is on Ysera except for Thani, who is on Sentinels, and Araven, Kaihe, and Rusca, who are on Moon Guard.

So that's the basic intro. I hope this turns into something cool!
